ARCADIS approaches mining practices by using mineralogy as the foundation for the entire mining lifecycle. Using the science of mineralogy, we develop a conceptual model for every phase of a project to better understand the environmental and human health implications that must be managed during the mineral extraction and closure processes. A better scientific understanding of the environmental impacts of mining, coupled with our advances in mining and environmental technologies, enables us to anticipate, predict, plan for, and prevent or minimize potential operational challenges.
